Kulttuurikeskus Ninho General Assembly will be celebrated on 18.3.2024. Like every year around this time, the annual assembly is a crucial moment for our association. What will be on Ninho General Assembly agenda

The future of Ninho depends on its members and the decisions made over the years. The list of points to be discussed in the General Assembly will give you an idea of how important your presence is.

Following the regulations of the Finnish Associations Act, these are the main points of the day

  1. Presentation and confirmation of the financial report 2023 and auditor’s statement.
  2. Presentation and approval of the 2024 Action Plan
  3. Presentation and confirmation of the 2024 Budget
  4. Election of the Board 2024: a President, four Board Members, an Auditor, and a Vice-Auditor or an Accountant and a Vice-Accountant.

If you are a member of Kulttuurikeskus Ninho, you will receive links to the most important documents that will be discussed in the Assembly: the 2023 final report, the 2024 action plan, and budget.

Please remember to read them before the meeting to contribute your ideas. Ninho is a collective effort, and your participation and opinion are crucial.

Who can participate and vote in the Assembly

Anyone can attend the General Assembly, whether or not they are a member of the association.

But it’s important to remember that only Ninho members can vote or run for the Board 2024. So:

Why is it important to be present at Ninho General Assembly 2024?

As indicated by the Finnish Associations Act, “the members of the association decide on the activities of the association in the general meetings”. The future of our association depends on all of us, and every opinion counts

As emphasized by Javier Gauto, Chair of the Board 2023, “Attending the assembly is important because it is a democratic process. The board presents the report, the action plan together with the association’s workers. As member, you can question or accept the steps taken. It’s the moment to initiate changes if necessary. We are accountable to the members“.

Ninho’s actions are decided by the members. 💜 We do it together! By being present, you will know where the money from your membership fee is invested, understand the work done by the board, workers, and volunteers (let’s not forget their important work), and strengthen our community

How to participate in the Assembly

Although we would love to see all the people who are part of the Ninho family, attending is often challenging. Therefore:

  • If you are a member, you can participate physically at the GAP office, or online. You will receive a link to access before the meeting. We use Teams software and you don’t need to have it installed on our device. Just click the link we’ll send you.
  • If you are not a member of the association yet, you are also welcome! Although you won’t be able to join online, nor vote. But we look forward to seeing you at the Globe Art Point office anyway! Coffee and wonderful people are guaranteed. It’s the perfect time to meet us and get to know our different projects better

Ninho is a big community and has been a tremendous support for many families and people from different background in Finland. It’s an opportunity to meet people, feel embraced, make contacts, and, most importantly, participate in the present and future of the children’s cultural sector, making it more multicultural, plurilingual and diverse

We look forward to seeing you on 18.3.2024!
