We’re closing the 2025 season of PICNIC Art Family Encounters in Spanish with a very special musical celebration for children and families! Join us on 5.12.2025 at Pasila Library, for a joyful afternoon of music and community spirit.
Colombian musicians Natalia Castrillón (harp and voice) and Sebastián Castrillón (cello) will perform a warm and engaging concert featuring songs in Spanish and instrumental pieces inspired by Latin American rhythms. We’ll listen, move softly, and clap along, creating together a space to feel the rhythm, warmth, and colors of music.

A concert to meet the Spanish speaking-community in the Helsinki capital area
This beautiful concert is also a great opportunity to connect with the Spanish-speaking community in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
If you’re new to PICNIC, come discover our weekly gatherings designed to support families with young children, read together and offer a safer space to socialize in Spanish.
During 2025, this lovely community has enjoyed more than 50 encounters, plus a musical storytelling session with storyteller Alicia Sevilla and musician Manu Rosales.
You can find two weekly PICNIC groups based on the age of the children:
- PICNIC Bebés is for families with babies up to approximately 1–2 years old.
- PICNIC Caminadores is for families with children between approximately 2 and 6 years old.
😋🍏 Remember you can also bring healthy snacks to share and celebrate the end of a beautiful 2025 season, full of learning, support, children’s literature and music.
